Welcome to the Fountain of the Sun Multimedia Club. Our mission is to provide technology information, education, and assistance to our members.

Our Club was established so that members could connect with one another and share useful hints and information about technology in various formats. Below are some of the services our Club provides to our members.

The FOS Multimedia Club has a number of volunteers who conduct Open Times, presentations, SIG’s, and demonstrations. We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers.  If you have a favorite subject or program, please volunteer to host and share your expertise with our members.  Contact Kathy at foscc2013@gmail.com if you would like to be involved in any of these activities.

SIGs — These will return for the 2023-2024 season. SIGS are Special Interest Groups. So far, we have 2 different SIGs scheduled.

**PHOTOGRAPHY, moderated by
Hank Nelson

**ALL THINGS APPLE, moderated by Kathy Rath

** TRAVEL, At this point, we do not have a volunteer to serve as a moderator of this SIG. If you would be interested, please contact us.

Sign-up sheets for these programs are available in the Multimedia Room (former Computer Lab) during OPEN TIMES (check the schedule outside the room or the calendar link on this website). You may add your name to the list and pay your membership dues at that time ($20 per person, or $30 per household). New memberships can begin at any time. If you were a member in the prior season, you do not need to renew your membership until January 2024.

Open Times

The lab will be open for those who just want to come in to use a computer, use the Internet, or ask for computer “How-To” help. Some of our facilitators are well-versed in Windows, and there are some who are well-versed in Macs, iPhones/iPads. There will be some who have experience with Android based phones. Please remember that we are volunteers and not experts. We do our best to help you with your problems, but please understand if we are unable to help you.

Presentations

Volunteers or board members will conduct individual presentations or a series of presentations on a particular topic. Topics have included using Windows 10, using Apple products, using online resources for banking and financial information, explaining tips for cutting the cable, Facebook use (especially security), etc.

View our weekly schedule on our Calendar.

We’re always looking for volunteers – please come and visit us at the lab to let us know where your interests lie.
